Hastily drawn cartoon collectibles, Veefriends, have made a break for the real world by crossing into the physical plane through a series of ‘Toys ‘Я’ Us’ branded merchandise.
Earlier in the year, Gary Vaynerchuk’s Veefriends project evolved from childlike scrawl to adolescent doodle. Now however, that evolution will continue as the popular NFT collection spawns a series of physical toys, all launching through Macy’s department store and using the recently resurrected ‘Toys ‘Я’ Us’ brand.

Launching on October 17, fans of the franchise can acquire either a soft plushie or hard vinyl figure, each featuring one of 6 characters from the Veefriends menagerie of weird creatures, animals and humans, retailing at $24.99 apiece. Or alternatively, they can pick up one of 4 smaller blind box characters for a modest $9.99. All are purchasable in-store, or via the Macey’s or Veefriends websites, with pre-order registration open right now.
In addition, those holding Veefriends NFTs of the characters involved can unlock further benefits. Holders will have until 11:59pm ET on October 18 to claim their free physical toy. Plus, they will have the opportunity to join an NFT-gated video call with Mr. Vaynerchuck himself.
