Award-winning music producer, Timbaland, is bringing his pioneering flair to the NFT space. Arriving on the blockchain is a set of remixable nuggets of non-fungible awesomeness.
In support of his latest EP, “Opera Noir,” Timbaland has split each track from the release into its component parts, and immortalized these sections on the blockchain as “beats,” “hooks,” and “stems.” Therefore, collectors acquiring at least two such NFTs will gain access to a web-based mixing app which will allow users to manipulate the music to create custom remixes.
These musical components will arrive via auction sporadically throughout November and December, with the first such drop arriving on November 2. Furthermore, anyone picking up five or more items from the collection will receive an additional full-length song NFT as a bonus. As a result, Timbaland is enthusiastic at this new direction, and the extra conduit it provides for interacting with the fanbase.
Joining Timbaland on his NFT journey are husband and wife team, Kevin and Jennifer McCoy. Kevin having achieved non-fungible notoriety by creating the “first ever” NFT, “Quantum”. Now, the pair head up blockchain firm, Moneygraph, which uses its state-of-the-art tech to bring this new project to life. Furthermore, Kevin and Jennifer are also the artists responsible for the visuals accompanying each NFT.
