German car manufacturer Mercedes has marked its entrance into the NFT space through the launch of an NFT collection which celebrates its iconic G-Class series. The NFTs will be designed by an eclectic mix of artists from the CryptoArt collective, Art2People, as part of an aptly named project called ‘The NF-G Challenge.’
The NFT drop takes place on Nifty Gateway on January 23rd in a one-hour auction between 18:00 and 19:00 EST, with each NFT in the price range of $222- $1,554.
The designs of the NFTs will come from Antoni Tudisco, Roger Kilimanjaro, Baugasm, Klarens Malluta, and collaborative efforts from Charlotte Taylor and Anthony Authie. The artists come from diverse backgrounds in the music industry, fashion, graphic design, architecture, creative marketing, and real estate, promising fans to a wide variety of artistic interpretations to choose from.
Each Mercedes NFT buyer will be automatically entered into a raffle which will take place once the collective NFT sales hit $1 million, and the artists will also have their own exclusive raffle if the collective sales reach $2 million. Remarkably, the prize of each raffle is an actual Mercedes G-Class!
Those wanting to purchase a G-Class inspired Mercedes NFT can do so via cryptocurrency or credit card, however, credit card users must ensure that they have verified their card on Nifty Gateway six days prior to the sale.
