A historic era for supercar manufacturing is coming to an end, as the last Lamborghini Aventador to ever be produced is set to be auctioned. In a world’s first, the lucky owner of the car will also receive an exclusive 1/1 NFT created by digital artist Krista Kim and DJ Steve Aoki.

The NFT is titled ‘Automobili Lamborghini,’ and will come with an array of VIP utilities, including exclusive virtual previews to future limited-edition Lamborghini models, a private tour of the Museo Lamborghini, and a virtual ‘Meet & Greet’ with Steve Aoki and Krista Kim. Aoki has also created a bespoke track to accompany the NFT, as well as an exclusive soundtrack for the car

The aesthetics of the car and NFT have been partly designed by Kim and Aoki, with Kim’s art movement Techism curating a technology-come-art design for the NFTs’ artwork, as well as the livery and interior trim of the physical car. Another notable design detail of the historic model will be a custom orange-embroidered logo on its rear bench, which signifies the exclusive collaboration behind its design.

The auction will be hosted by Sotheby’s, and will take place between April 19th-21st. The car will be delivered to the buyer in September 2022, where if a winning bid of over €5 million is fetched, Lamborghini will hold a special delivery celebration for the buyer.

In speaking of the history-making auction, Stephan Winkelmann, the Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, had this to say: “Lamborghini and the NFT community fit together very well… We are both young-spirited innovators, looking out for unexpected projects and technological solutions. This project is very special for us as it is a true first, a path nobody has ever taken; to collaborate with such outstanding creative minds makes it all the more special”.
