Off the back of their inaugural launch of the ever-biting Shuffle Sharks NFT collection, CryptoSea, who are known as the first underwater metaverse on the Solana blockchain, are back with their second collection of sea creature-inspired creations.

This time, it is the turn of the ever-so-tasty ‘Salty Shrimps,’ who, like all other species from the project, will come with a distinguished set of utilities based on charity, trips, and airdrops, as well as overarching perks that are generally associated with the pixelated cartoon characters.

The Salty Shrimps Collection

There will be a total of 1,696 Salty Shrimps NFTs in the collection, with each Shrimp coming with its own unique set of eight traits (including skin, background, eyes, mouth, hat, neck, companion, clothes, and foot) and over 110 attributes. Some Shrimps will be rarer than others, as limited-edition Shrimps will reside within crustacean colony, as well as nine ultra-rare Shrimps which CryptoSea codelessly designed by hand.

Alongside these artistic perks, holders of a Salty Shrimp NFTs will also be in with a chance to win an unforgettable trip to Thailand, where they embark on island hopping adventures and experience the inspiration behind CryptoSea first-hand. Each minting of a Salty Shrimp NFT will also trigger the planting of a mangrove tree, the foundational structures needed for productive and biological rich ecosystems to exist within tropical and subtropical coastal saltwater zones.

A 5% royalty share will also be attached to the NFTs.

The Mint

The collection will first be released on March 7th, when all of those in ownership of a Shuffle Shark NFT (which are available on SolSea and Magic Eden) will be airdropped a Salty Shrimp NFT.

A whitelist/pre-sale mint (which will include a limited amount of 100 spots) will then take place on March 12th, where each Salty Shrimp can be purchased for 0.66 SOL ($63).

Finally, the public sale will launch on March 13th at 19:00 UTC, with each NFT being up for grabs for 0.99 SOL ($95). The first 200 wallets to publicly mint a Salty Shrimp will receive a free airdrop of the third CryptoSea species upon its release.

Any Solana-based wallet will facilitate the purchase of a Salty Shrimp NFT, however the use of a Phantom Wallet is highly recommended.

Roadmap – Upcoming Perks for Holders

As already demonstrated through the project’s adherence to rewarding existing NFT holders with free airdrops of the next species in line, the  CryptoSea roadmap is dedicated to presenting the community with an array of perks which extend beyond the vibrant and unique appearance of the digital assets.

CryptoSea have kicked the developments off by establishing a virtual home for their community, called the Portals Community Space. Here, community members can revel in hang-out sessions, host events, town halls, raffles, and much more.

In the future, significant perks are in the pipeline for those who own all eight of the CryptoSea species. For a start, and through the Wagmi Payout, all such holders will receive 50% of royalties which are collected in the community wallet. In addition, they will also be able to stay at the highly anticipated CryptoSea Community Beach House for free! As of now, CryptoSea are still deciding which area of paradise they wish to place the Community Beach House, however places such as Thailand and the Dominican Republic are rumoured to be high on their list.

Community members can also expect to win weekly NFTs and cash prizes through the upcoming 2D side-scroller NFT game which is in development, as well as receiving an invitation to the NFT-gated CryptoBeach Festival.

As with the opportunity to win a trip to Thailand in the Salty Shrimps launch, and the chance to win a shark diving trip to South Africa with the Shuffle Sharks launch, each launching of a CryptoSea species present its own extravagant adventure trip lottery.
